The basic mechanics are based around the d10. There will be a requirement for lots of d10s to be rolled at once (much like Warhammer uses d6s).
When rolling for damage, roll a number of dice. If a die rolls 6-10, then it causes one point of damage. A roll of 1-5 has no effect. The damage die represents a skill roll, the number of damage dice represent the amount of damage.
All distances are measured in generic measurement units, labelled as (”). They are normally assumed to be inches on the tabletop, though can just as easily be centimetres.
Each 1” represents 1000km of distance in the real world.
Each round represents about 15 minutes of real time.
There will be a number of different scales, each 10x the scale of the previous one. Scales are generally used for ship sizes and damages, not for distances.
