Several ways to display a character. Character description A specific character. Consists of a full description, plus skills, advantages and combat stats. May choose to display a limited amount of detail. More than one character can be grouped together into a set, using the element. This just contains one or more children. The advantage of doing this is that a role can be applied to the set. For example:

Need to describe equipment lists in some generic format that is compatible across multiple game systems. Will use namespaces as for characters. Weapons and armour will need backporting to this new format. An item on the list might look something like this:

Herb Lore

Herb information will consist of a mixture of generic and system specific information. All herbs have a potency rating which is a system independent guide to how potent it is - will use the potency tables in 'Deadly Doses: A Writers Guide'. On a scale from 1 to 6, where 1 is pretty ineffective and 6 is highly toxic.

Library

A library contains structured information about a collection of books. Some information is game specific, the rest is descriptive. Some systems, like d20, probably don't have much game specific content. Yags or Ars Magica tend to be quite detailed when it comes to books.

System Specific Structures

Some structures can be system specific - e.g. Yags, d20, ArsMagica. It uses namespaces to handle different systems. Everything not in a namespace (other than the default Yagsbook namespace) is considered to be generic content. * Herb Lore * Library * Characters * Equipment Descriptions
