Simple Yags

Simple Yags is a very fast and simple version of Yags. Everything you see here are the complete set of rules. Characters from Simple Yags are compatible with the full version of Yags, though may be 'not as good' since they'll be missing certain abilities.

The basic character generation stuff is below, the rest of the rules are linked to below:

Attributes

There are eight primary attributes - Strength, Health, Agility, Dexterity, Perception, Intelligence, Empathy and Will.

These default to 3 for everything. A new character can modify these defaults by up to 3 points - for every point an attribute is raised, another must be lowered. No attribute can be lowered below 2, or raised above 5.

Some campaign styles will also grant further 'free' points which may be spent, and may also change the maximum for any single attribute.

Skills

There are eight talents which all default to a skill of 2. These are athletics, awareness, brawl, charm, guile, sleight, stealth and throw.

There are two knowledge skills which default to a skill of 4, which are Speak own and Area lore.

A character has 30 points to spend on skills at character generation. No skill may be raised above 5 initially. As with attributes, the style of campaign may affect these limits.
