Mastery of Magic

Magic may be mastered. When level 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 etc are reached in a Word, choose one of the mastery abilities.

Spirit

  • Aura sight. See auras all the time.
  • Second sight. Duplicates the advantage.
  • Empathy. Add score to charisma checks.
  • Iron will. Add +1 to will to resist magic.

Water

  • Breath water. Breath both water and air.
  • Water movement. Move in water easily. Take twice to walk on water.
  • Cold resist. Act as if temperature was +3 levels more than it is, plus gain +10 soak versus cold. May be taken more than once.
  • Shadow form. +1 to agi/per for stealth. Take it more than once.

Earth

  • Earth sense. Can tell where people are nearby if they are on the ground. Negates darkness penalties, makes hiding impossible.
  • Fertile. Full control over own fertility. May choose to automatically get a person pregnant. Take twice to be able to change gender at will (takes a day).
  • Animal empathy. Gives auto two successes for talk to animals without having to use magic. Can take multiple times.

Iron

  • Iron skin. +3 to soak. Can take more than once.
  • Strong. +1 strength and stamina.

Fire

  • Fire resist. Act as if temperature was up to 3 levels lower than it is, plus gain +10 soak versus fire. May be taken more than once.
  • Fast. Base movement speed is at +3.
  • Agile. +1 to agility.

Air

  • Hear. Ability to listen to voices from anyone in sight.
  • Air walk. Can jump twice as far/high. Fall three times as far. Can take more than once.
